Alex Carter's Hollyoaks web
Soap star Alex Carter is set to return to 'Hollyoaks' through the Channel 4 soap's upcoming online spin-off programme 'Hollyoaks: Freshers' which will air later this year.
Alex Carter will make his 'Hollyoaks' return on a new internet spin-off.
The actor - who played cheeky chappy Lee Hunter in the show for four years before he left to work on 'Emmerdale' - is set to return to the village in the upcoming web-based show 'Hollyoaks: Freshers' this summer.
Alex will also be joined on the show by three new students, Jamil (Sikander Malik), Doug (PJ Brennan) and Leanne (Jessica Forrest).
The online series will be aired in six 10-minute instalments and will also include soap favourite Darren Osbourne (Ashley Taylor Dawson).
The official 'Hollyoaks' website revealed: "'Hollyoaks: Freshers' will follow the off-screen exploits of 'Hollyoaks' characters, whilst also introducing three new Hollyoaks Community College students ahead of their arrival in the Channel 4 show in September. "
The online mini-series follows the success of the earlier sister show 'Hollyoaks: The Morning after the Night Before'.
Alex has reportedly signed a six month contract with new series producer Paul Marquess.
