Coleen Nolan's 50th retirement
'Loose Women' presenter Coleen Nolan admits she plans to retire when she turns 50 so that he can spend as much time with her nine-year-old daughter as possible
Coleen Nolan plans to retire at 50.
The 45-year-old 'Loose Women' presenter is working on becoming as financially secure as possible because she wants to give up work to spend more time with her nine-year-old daughter Ciara - who she has with her husband Ray Fensome - when she reaches her teens.
Coleen said: "Ciara was nine in June and it's going to be difficult to keep her on the straight and narrow.
"I'm hoping that, because I'm working ridiculously hard and have been for three or four years now, that when Ciara hits her teenage years I can be at home. I want to retire to be with her."
Coleen - who shot to fame in her teens as a member of singing sibling group the Nolan Sisters - believes that a girl's teenage years are when she needs the most support.
She added to Reveal magazine: "People tend to think that when their kids hit 14 or 15, they're old enough to understand and look after themselves. But I think that's the most important time to be with them.
"Your teenage years are the hardest part of your life because everything is changing - your body, your emotions, your hormones - especially for girls.
"I think they need you and I'm hoping that when that happens I can be with her."
Coleen also has teenage sons Shane and Jack from her former marriage to 'EastEnders' actor Shane Richie.
