Steve Carell wants a subtle exit
Steve Carell hopes his exit from the US version of 'The Office' will be ''subtle'' and believes it was ''time'' he left the series.
Steve Carell hopes to make a "subtle" exit from 'The Office'.
The actor has revealed his departure from the show - the US version of the hit UK TV programme created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant - is likely be a quiet event rather than a special episode dedicated to him.
He said: "I would be inclined to make it a more subtle and kind of simple departure as opposed to any big very special episode kind of thing."
The 47-year-old actor also revealed how he felt it was the right time to leave the comedy show and hopes it will be good for the series too.
He said: "I was always contracted for seven seasons, and I'm going to fulfil my contract. I just thought it was time. I'm ready to go.
"I just felt like it was time, and I think it might actually be a good thing for the show too. You switch around the dynamic of a show like that, I think it can be a really good thing and infuse it with a different energy. I think it's positive on all fronts."
