'Coronation Street's Tyrone and Molly Dobbs are to name their son after Jack Duckworth.

Tyrone (Alan Halsall) and wife Molly (Vicky Binns) celebrate the arrival of their baby boy in September and the mechanic is keen to pay tribute to Jack (Bill Tarmey) by naming the tot after the man he regards as his father.

Jack - who is to leave Weatherfield at the end of this year - is overcome with emotion when Tyrone tells him the news but jokes the little boy will grow up to love drinking and horses, just like his namesake.

However, unbeknown to Tyrone, the baby may not be his as best friend Kevin Webster could be the dad following his affair with Molly.

Meanwhile, Manchester twins Jaxon and Maddox Beswick have been chosen to play baby Jack after bosses at the ITV1 soap put up adverts in local antenatal wards.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Twins are often used, so if one baby is having an off day the other can step in. It halves the workload and the stresses."
