X judge Nicole Scherzinger
Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger is to follow in the footsteps of Geri Halliwell, Natalie Imbruglia and Katy Perry by appearing as a guest judge on 'The X Factor'
Nicole Scherzinger is to appear as a guest judge on 'The X Factor'.
The Pussycat Doll - who also appeared as a celebrity judge on hit NBC reality show 'The Sing-Off' - is to join Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on the judging panel as a stand-in for pregnant Dannii Minogue when the first round of auditions hit Manchester.
However, the 'Fight For this Love' hitmaker may be slightly concerned about Nicole joining the panel, as in the past she laid into the Pussycat Dolls for their singing abilities.
Commenting on frontwoman Nicole, Cheryl previously said: "I don't think she stands out at all."
An insider at the hit ITV1 show admitted 'X Factor' bosses were hoping to "mix it up a bit".
They confessed to The Sun newspaper: "We like to mix it up a bit on the panel as it can create some tension. Hopefully there won't be any scratching or hair pulling by Cheryl and Nicole."
The 'Don't Cha' hitmaker will be following in the footsteps of previous guest judges former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, 'Torn' singer Natalie Imbruglia and pop sensation Katy Perry.
Natalie and Geri were not well-received by crowds at the Birmingham and Glasgow auditions, with the ex-'Neighbours' star being taunted with chants of "Who are ya?" and the former Spice Girl being booed for dishing out "spiteful" comments to contestants.
