John James' sticky situation
John James and Ben were the subjects of a Sticky Science Experiment task that saw them attached to walls by their fellow housemates, while Mario predicted their success
John James and Ben were stuck to walls in the latest 'Big Brother' task.
The pair were chosen by Mario - who had been selected to take on a key role in the Sticky Science Experiment - to be the subjects of the test, with David and Josie having to attach the Australian to one area with glue and Ife and Caoimhe given tape to secure the writer-and-broadcaster to another wall.
Mario was then sent by Big Brother to a special observation room where he was given a packed lunch and told his part of the task was to predict the outcome by deciding how many of the housemates would be stuck to the wall after their 45 minutes of preparation time.
However, he was left infuriated by his posh pal - who has repeatedly clashed with the rest of the house - when he tired of his situation and decided to quit the task just minutes before the preparation time was up, claiming he felt faint.
Speaking alone in the observation room, Mario said: "Every time I try and find a way to redeem you, Ben, in the group, you bloody ruin it."
When the blocks supporting John James were removed, the housemates cheered as he remained hanging - but slid down and onto the wall just moments later.
Big Brother then told Mario he had passed the task and would be given a dinner of sticky dates and sticky toffee pudding in the Diary Room.
However, when later quizzed on his role in the task, the former mole admitted he had been given a packed lunch while he made his predictions, but omitted telling the group about his reward.
