Gavin Henson's Strictly ambition
Gavin Henson has revealed he would ''definitely'' consider donning his dancing shoes to appear in the new series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Gavin Henson wants to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 28-year-old Welsh rugby ace - who recently split from 'Over The Rainbow' judge Charlotte Church, with whom he has two children, Ruby, two, and Dexter, 18 months - admitted he would "definitely" consider showing off his dance skills on the hit BBC One show.
He hinted: "I can't lie, I really like 'Strictly'. I'd definitely consider going on the show. All I can say is watch this space."
However, if the sportsman agrees to appear on the celebrity dance contest, he faces ridicule from his friends.
One pal told the Daily Star newspaper: "All the lads in Wales would rip the p**s out of him for prancing around like a fool."
Gavin could be joined by former Home Office minister Ann Widdecombe, who is reportedly in talks with the BBC to appear on the show.
While she has said she isn't "able to talk" about it at the moment, in the past, she has made no secret of the fact that political reporter John Sergeant - who appeared in the 2008 series - gave her confidence that she would be able to rise to the challenge.
She said: "I've always thought that cavorting around with those frightfully elegant mortals, I'd look a complete idiot. But what I've realised from John's performance is they do let you go at your own pace. If I'm allowed to go at my own pace, it's not such a horrible thought."
