Louis Walsh's X Factor row
Louis Walsh reportedly stormed out of 'The X Factor' auditions in London yesterday (22.06.10) because fellow judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole disagreed with him
Louis Walsh stormed out of 'The X Factor' auditions yesterday (22.06.10).
The Irish music manager was infuriated when his fellow judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole failed to put through a male singer he had said "100 per cent yes" to after he auditioned at London's ExCel centre.
After rushing backstage to comfort the unnamed singer, Louis expressed his disappointment to programme host Dermot O'Leary that the mystery man - described as in his 20s - had not been voted through to the next round of the competition.
However, Louis then returned to his seat to continue assessing the remaining acts.
A show spokesperson told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Louis was back in time to judge the next act."
Unlike the other regional auditions, Simon has not chosen a guest judge to step into Dannii Minogue's place while she is on maternity leave.
Previously, Geri Halliwell and Natalie Imbruglia have helped choose contestants to make it through the next stage but the fourth seat was axed temporarily following the guests' unpopularity with the audience.
However, singer Katy Perry is expected to take a seat on the panel when auditions move to Dublin, Ireland next week.
