Lacey Turner's perfect timing
'EastEnders' actor Jake Wood thinks it's the ''right time'' for his co-star Lacey Turner to quit the BBC One soap.
Jake Wood thinks it's the "right time" for Lacey Turner to leave 'EastEnders'.
The actor - who portrays womaniser Max Branning in the BBC One soap - admits his co-star has chosen the perfect time to quit the show, because she is an "amazing" actress with plenty of chances to improve her career.
He said: "I think the time's right for her as she's been here six years. She took a long time to come to that decision.
"I think she'll do incredibly well and she wants to do other stuff for a while and I think she'll be successful doing that. She's an amazing actress and she's got an incredible future ahead of her."
The pair have worked very closely over the years, as Lacey's alter-ego Stacey Branning and her father-in-law Max had an affair, risking their own marriages.
Jake has also praised Maddie Duggan, who recently left Albert Square as his screen daughter Lauren Branning.
He added to Holy Soap: "We all started off at the same time so we're very close. I'm very close with Maddie's family off screen and I've seen her a few times since she finished. We all stay in touch and I think again she's a fabulous actress and I think she'll do incredibly well."
