Jason Manford survives crash
New 'One Show' host Jason Manford has survived a terrifying car accident, when tyres on the vehicle he was travelling in burst at 70 mph.
Jason Manford has been involved in a high-speed car crash.
The comedian - who has recently landed the slot as Christine Bleakley's new co-presenter on 'The One Show' - was left fearing for his life after the tyres on the car he was travelling in burst on a busy road.
He tweeted: "Just nearly died!"
The 29-year-old comic was travelling to a show with his manager Alex Adamson - who was driving the vehicle - when they narrowly avoided being hit as they spend along the fast lane.
Jason added: "We were travelling at 70 mph - what a nightmare. The driver got us across three lanes in five seconds!"
Despite the frightening situation, Jason couldn't resist making a joke about the near accident.
He joked: "Think a little bit of wee came out while he got us across three lanes in five seconds!"
Jason's friend and 'This Morning' host Eamonn Holmes also made light of the situation on twitter.
He added: "At least you lived to tell the tale. I would have felt so guilty taking over 'The One Show'."
Father-of-two Jason was due to perform a sold-out show at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon today (17.06.10), which has now been postponed.
