'Coronation Street's Shobna Gulati's teenage son often gets mistaken for her boyfriend.
The actress - who has played Sunita in the soap since 2001 - often takes 16-year-old Akshay to star-studded events with her, where partygoers often get confused and think he is her toy boy lover.
She said: "He's over six feet tall and very handsome. I took him to a charity dinner last year and I overheard someone saying, 'Why does Shobna always get the good-looking blokes?' I couldn't stop laughing."
However, the 43-year-old star - who had Akshay with her ex-husband Anshu Srivastava, who she split from when she was four months pregnant - admits she would love to settle down and find a nice man to take to these events instead of her child.
She explained to Closer magazine: "Life as a single mum has been tough - now I want to go on romantic breaks with someone and take them to parties."
Shobna has become so fed up of being on her own, she is considering moving to America where the men are more forthcoming.
She added: "When you go to a bar in America, you'll get 15 guys approaching you - they're so pro-active, I love it. I'd definitely consider moving there."
