'Gavin and Stacey' actress Joanna Page admits her husband James Thornton gets ''turned on'' by her fake Scottish accent
Joanna Page's husband James Thornton gets "turned on" by her fake Scottish accent.
The 'Gavin and Stacey' actress is currently preparing to start filming a new movie in Glasgow, Scotland later this month and likes to seduce her 'Emmerdale' actor spouse by whispering sweet nothings to him in her practised regional twang.
She told Closer magazine: "I've been perfecting my Glaswegian accent, my husband says it turns him on! I'm playing a depressed nutter - so nothing like Stacey!"
Joanna wed James - who plays farmer John Barton in the ITV soap - in 2003.
Despite being married for seven years, the couple are too busy with work to think about starting a family.
Instead, the 32-year-old beauty thinks of her pet dog Daisy as a daughter - and often feels like she gave birth to the pooch herself.
She said: "I've been working non-stop this year so a baby's not on the agenda - I want a holiday instead! I've only got maternal feelings towards my Jack Russell, Daisy - I literally feel like I gave birth to her!"
