Shobna Gulati to internet date?
'Coronation Street' actress Shobna Gulati may resort to internet dating, after a string of disastrous dates has left her ''disillusioned'' with men.
'Coronation Street's Shobna Gulati is tempted to start internet dating.
The actress, who has played Sunita Alahan in 'Coronation Street' since 2001, admits she always picks the wrong type of men and is thinking about searching online in an attempt to end her run of disastrous dates.
She said: "I'm so disillusioned, I don't know what to do. I've been on a few dates with a handful of men recently, but they only seem to care about the fact I'm on the telly.
"I'd love to try internet dating, but then everyone would recognise my face and probably just write to me to beg for a job!"
The 43-year-old single mother's bad dates have mainly been a result of her fame, but that hasn't put the star off the idea of marriage.
She told Closer magazine: "Some guys just want to sell stories on me afterwards so they can say: 'I s****ed that bird off Corrie.' I've even had someone ask me if I'd taken drugs, so they can sell the scandal.
"It makes you feel very vulnerable. I'd love to get married again. But men my age tend to be boring or have loads of baggage."
Shobna divorced architect Anshu Srivastava in 1994 after a four year marriage, and since dated ex- Emmerdale actor Gary Turner (Carlos Diaz) for four years.
She raises 16-year-old son Akshay alone and was four-months pregnant when her marriage to Anshu broke down.
