Music judge Dizzee Rascal
Dizzee Rascal is joining up with Jamie Cullum and Sharleen Spiteri to front new reality show 'Must Be The Music' - which will search for Britain's biggest new music star
Dizzee Rascal, Jamie Cullum and Sharleen Spiteri are judging new reality show 'Must Be The Music'.
The 'Dirtee Disco' hitmaker has teamed up with jazz musician Jamie and the Texas frontwoman for Sky 1's search for the next big music act.
Dizzee said: "I know how hard it is to break into the music industry and am giving all you fellow musicians out there a chance to come and show me, the other judges and the rest of the UK that we really do have some of the best musicians in the world right under our noses, who deserve a break. I'm here to give you that break."
The trio will attend auditions in London, Manchester and Edinburgh through June and July as they attempt to discover Britain's best unsigned artist.
The competition is open to all, irrespective of age, musical style or song choice.
Sharleen expects the judges' varied experience will benefit the undiscovered musicians well.
She added: "Regardless of our differing music genres, ultimately we all have the same goal and that's to encourage unsigned and undiscovered talent to perform to the best of their abilities and give them the opportunity to succeed in something they are truly passionate about."
'Must Be The Music' will launch on Sky1 HD and Sky1 this summer.
