X Factor judge Geri Halliwell
Geri Halliwell is to become a guest judge on 'The X Factor' and will join Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on the first day of auditions tomorrow (09.06.10)
Geri Halliwell has become the first 'X Factor' guest judge.
The former Spice Girl - who is mum to four-year-old Bluebell Madonna - has signed up to the hit ITV1 show and will sit alongside Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on the first day of auditions in Glasgow, Scotland tomorrow (09.06.10).
An 'X Factor' insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Geri has told Simon she can spice up the audition process. She worked with Louis on 'PopStars: The Rivals' when Cheryl auditioned, so it will be interesting to see what their chemistry is like."
While the feisty redhead is expected to stay for just one day of auditions, music mogul Simon Cowell hopes to line up a host of other artists - including Robbie Williams, Lily Allen and Janet Jackson - to join the judging panel before pregnant Dannii Minogue makes her return later in the summer.
Meanwhile, producers of the reality show have signed a lucrative deal to turn 'The X Factor' into an interactive game for Xbox, Wii and PlayStation.
The concept of the game will be similar to that of karaoke game SingStar, with the judges giving their remarks at the end of the contestant's performance.
An insider explained to The Sun newspaper: "There are millions of people across the world who want to be on one of Simon's shows, so this gets them a step closer.
"Rather than just getting a score on the screen you'll get feedback from the judges so you can feel what it's like to have Simon trash your dream - or tip you for the top."
