Danniella Westbrook's Enders return
Danniella Westbrook will be back as Sam Mitchell in 'EastEnders' with a ''big secret'' and a lot of grudges later this year in the BBC1 soap
Danniella Westbrook will return to 'EastEnders' as Sam Mitchell later this year.
The brazen blonde is due to appear back in Walford over the next few months with a big secret - which is expected to coincide with Barbara Windsor's exit as her legendary screen mum, Peggy Mitchell.
Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood said: "When Sam Mitchell is in Albert Square, trouble is never far behind. We last saw her heading for a stretch in prison and ostracised by her family.
"When she returns on her release, it's with a lot of grudges and a big secret. Danniella brings a lot of fun and mischief to the role of Sam and I'm looking forward to having her back where she belongs."
Sam last appeared in the Square in January as she tried to get her brother Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Peggy to hide her from the police.
She was last seen rejecting the Mitchell name in an explosive argument with her Peggy after losing the Queen Vic pub by skipping bail.
The 36-year-old actress is currently filming the scenes for a handful of episodes which will be shown later this year.
