Janey Cutler in BGT finals
Great-grandmother Janey Cutler and dance act Twist and Pulse have made it through to the 'Britain's Got Talent' final
Great-grandmother Janey Cutler is through to the final of 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The 81-year-old pensioner - dubbed the "new Susan Boyle" after her first audition on the show became an overnight internet sensation - received most of last night's (03.06.10) public vote.
Comedy dance duo Twist and Pulse also made it through after judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan chose them over Simon Cowell's favourite, pirate-themed dance troupe The Fusion.
Glaswegian Janey received a standing ovation after her powerful rendition of Shirley Bassey's 'This Is Life'.
Piers told her: "That wasn't just the performance of the night, but of the whole week by a mile."
Amanda added: "You have the lungs of a 20-year-old."
Twist and Pulse - consisting of Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy, both 19 - were praised for their unique routine to a mash-up of songs including The Cheeky Girls' 'Touch My Bum'.
The remaining acts sent home were dance troupe Ice, singing dad Emile Harris, martial arts group Team Shaolin, 10-year-old freestyle dancer Tyler Patterson and singer Mark James - who appeared as half Elton John, half Kiki Dee.
Meanwhile, comedic dancers Twist and Pulse have been named the shock favourites to win the show and perform for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance in a poll taken out by Orange.
The pair's audition has become the most downloaded video through Orange World, the Orange mobile portal, to their customer's mobile phones.
The semi-finals of the contest continues on ITV1 tonight (04.06.10) ahead of the live final tomorrow (05.06.10).
