James Corden's Dizzee BGT
Simon Cowell has asked James Corden and Dizzee Rascal to perform their unofficial World Cup anthem, which will be a cover of the Tears for Fears classic 'Shout', on 'Britain's Got Talent' on Saturday (05.06.10)
James Corden and Dizzee Rascal are performing their unofficial World Cup anthem on the 'Britain's Got Talent' final on Saturday (05.06.10).
The unlikely pair teamed up to record their version of the Tears for Fears hit 'Shout', as master-minded by the show's judge Simon Cowell, to support the British soccer team in South Africa this summer.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon thought it was a brilliant concept and got in touch with them both - and they jumped at the chance.
"Love 'em or hate 'em, World Cup songs are very much part of British heritage and Simon wanted to tap into it."
There's a chance for everyone to be part of the anthem, as the music mogul is asking people to help sing the song down the phone - on the telephone number 0800 0494949 - with the chance to appear in the final edited version.
'Gavin and Stacey' star James and rapper Dizzee will shoot the video for the song next week, and all the proceeds will be going to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Calls to the number are free on a UK landline although there may be charges from mobiles.
