Gary Coleman dies
Gary Coleman has died aged 42 following a fall in his home earlier this week
Gary Coleman has died.
The 'Diff'rent Strokes' actor died last night (28.05.10) after a fall at his home put him in a coma.
His condition was so severe that doctors were unable to operate on the 42-year-old star and his wife Shannon Price decided to turn off his life support machine.
A representative for the star said: "Gary will be badly missed. He'll remain in the hearts of those who were entertained by him over the years."
Celebrity friends including Janet Jackson have also paid tribute to the star.
Writing on twitter, she said: "I'm at a loss for words upon learning of Gary Coleman's passing. I want to remember him as the fun, playful, adorable and affectionate man he was. He has left a lasting legacy. I know he is finally at peace."
Gary was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Utah Valley Regional Medical Centre earlier this week following the fall, which led to a severe head injury.
His health had seen a downturn in recent years - as well as suffering a seizure on the set of TV show 'The Insider', he also underwent heart surgery in 2009.
