Brian Dowling fights for BB return
Brian Dowling is set to return for the last ever series of 'Big Brother', which will see him competing for a place in the iconic house
Brian Dowling is returning for the last ever series of 'Big Brother'.
The children's TV presenter - who won the show in 2001 - will be among 40 hopefuls competing for a place in the 11th and final series of the UK TV reality show 'Big Brother', which kicks off on June 9.
In a new twist to the format, the hopeful contestants will compete to get into the house on the launch night.
Host Davina McCall will then name the 20 finalists who have been whittled down by the public to battle it out for the last ever 'Big Brother' title.
Brian, 31 - who has gone on to have a successful TV career since winning the show - will also be joined by Cameron Stout, the winner of the third series, glamour model Danielle Laws and Buck Fizz's David Van Day's eldest daughter Olivia.
Producers for the channel 4 show claim the final series, which will be on for 13 weeks, is set to be the most "explosive and hilarious yet".
Host Davina recently spoke about she'd experienced the highlight of her career at the reality programme.
She told BBC 5 Live: "These have been the best ten years of my life. I met my husband, I had three children, I lived the domestic dream and I've had 'Big Brother'.
"I've been blessed with that show. I've gone off and presented a couple of turkeys and always come back to the golden goose. It has been my security blanket."
