Todd Carty wants Corrie role
Former 'EastEnders' actor Todd Carty would consider moving to 'Coronation Street' if they were casting for a ''cockney wide boy''.
Todd Carty wants to play a "young cockney wide boy" in 'Coronation Street'.
The former 'EastEnders' star - who played HIV positive Mark Fowler in the show from 1985 until 2003 - would consider moving to the rival soap if the right part came up.
He said: "You never say never in this business.
"Maybe some young cockney wide boy who comes up, you've had a few of them in the past - maybe a new generation of London lad that comes in. Anyway, give them my number just in case."
Since he left 'EastEnders', Todd worked as PC Gabriel Kent on 'The Bill', before appearing on 'Dancing On Ice' last year and embarking on the live tour around Britain.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "Well, I'm no twinkle toes but I've done enough musical theatre and enough Panto to get by."
The 46-year-old actor was voted off the ice skating show after five weeks and enjoyed "taking the Mickey" out of the show.
He previously revealed quipped: "I'm an actor... so, of course I was performing. I wanted to bring fun and humour to the show - people can take these things too seriously. I thought from the start 'lets take the Mickey out of it', make it light-hearted. All the viewers just hope the contestants fall on their backsides. It's entertainment, it isn't the Olympics."
