Music mogul Simon Cowell has reportedly told Cheryl Cole she must give the upcoming reality show her full attention in the upcoming months.

Simon Cowell has reportedly told Cheryl Cole to give 'The X Factor' more attention.

The music mogul - who works with the Girls Aloud beauty on the judging panel of the reality singing show - is apparently concerned the pop star is spending too much time on her solo career and not committing to the new series 100 per cent.

A source told Star magazine: "Simon is supportive of Cheryl. But he feels she needs to stop gallivanting around Europe and start getting focused on 'The X Factor's return. He says the show should come first. He also thinks she'll be going into the new series utterly exhausted, which is not good for her, the show or Simon."

The 'Fight for This Love' star has had an emotional few months as it was reported her estranged husband, soccer star Ashley Cole, had cheated on her with several different women at the same time as she launched her solo career.

Over the past few months, Cheryl has risen to success with her album '3 Words' - which topped the British charts - and is currently supporting Black Eyed Peas' on their The E.N.D. World Tour, which has left Simon panicking she is not concentrating on the show.

The source added: "This time last year, Cheryl was totally on the pulse with 'X Factor' and had even begun choosing all her outfits for the auditions. Her mind is not on it at all this time around.

"Simon is worried she's been doing too much. He wants her to take some time out and get her head in the right place for what will be an incredibly demanding new series.

"She is determined to work as hard as she can. That's how she has dealt with her problems with Ashley.

"Simon has told Cheryl she is the star of the show and that she needs to get back in the zone, and fast."
