Phosphorescent on UK tour ahead of Bestval appearances

Ahead of his slots at Bestival and End Of The Road down south, Matthew ‘Phosphorescent’ Houck plays a quick four-date tour of the UK, spreading the kind of rocky/folksy love that endears him to fans of Bon Iver, Deer Tick and the like. For 2009 covers album To Willie – a tribute to his hero, Willie Nelson – Houck recruited a band to make his sound fuller and more expansive, after the almost-too-intimate Pride. The band stayed with him for new, beautifully confessional album Here’s To Taking It Easy – go bask in their alt.folk charm.
