Louis Walsh wants Talent
Louis Walsh has admitted he would love to step in and replace Simon Cowell permanently on 'Britain's Got Talent'
Louis Walsh is desperate for a role on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The 'X Factor' judge - who stood in on the panel when Simon Cowell fell ill earlier this year - admits he would love to take over from his friend full time if the music mogul quits the show at the end of the current series.
He told Britain's new! magazine: "I would jump at it! I had such fun stepping in for him when he was ill. I loved Amanda Holden. And although Piers Morgan doesn't know anything about music and entertainment, he says all the right things. So I'd love the gig. Please put that in. Please get it for me. I'd love that job so much."
While Louis is keen to land a role on the show, he has ruled out a possible stint judging 'The X Factor' in America when it launches next year.
He told Star magazine: "I'm not interested in it. I'm just happy to jet over from Dublin to do the UK version, manage Westlife, and work with Jedward and Boyzone. I'm so busy and have such a full life. I like going to America just for holidays."
However, the Irish music manager admits he thinks it is unlikely Simon will ask him to make the move Stateside.
He said: "If he offered it to me, I would say yes, but there's no chance. Simon will be judging - the show wouldn't be the same without him - and I think Cheryl Cole would be good. She looks fabulous and they'd love her in America."
