'Doctor Who' is going on tour.

Writer Steven Moffatt claims the production - which will see a stage adaptation of the hit BBC sci-fi drama visit nine cities with a total of 25 performances -marks a childhood dream come true for him.

e said: "This is everything I have ever wanted since I was 11. A live show, with all the coolest Doctor Who monsters, a proper story, and brand new screen material for Matt Smith's Doctor.

"I'll be writing scenes for it, and probably attending every single night."

The show won't include current Doctor Matt Smith in person, but he and Karen Gillan, who plays assistant Amy Pond, have filmed special scenes that will feature in the spectacle.

'Doctor Who Live' is set to open in wartime London and end with what is described as an epic on-stage battle.

Audiences can expect The Doctor's arch-enemies the Daleks as well as the Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Judoon and Oods.

The tour will kick off at the Wembley Arena on October 8 this year and will then visit Sheffield, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Liverpool and Belfast.

Tickets can be bought at www.Doctorwholive.com.
