Big Picture: Imaginate

The Royal Bank of Scotland Imaginate Festival continues with a variety of activities for kids including We Dance, Wee Groove (pictured), a colourful dance event for trendy tots aged up to four. Theatre shows, workshops and other activities for kids will be ongoing in the capital until the festival finishes on 15 May.

Imaginate Festival, various venues, Edinburgh until Sat 15 May. We Dance, Wee Groove, Lyceum Studio, Edinburgh, Fri 14 May, 10.30am & 1.30pm; Sat 15 & Sun 16 May, 10.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm.

Good Grief! Another one of those shows that makes you wonder who is giving away the funding. It was unstructured, over loud, and quite pointless, featuring random drumming, mediocre dancing and a VT display that was probably the best thing about it, but then if I'd wanted to take my son to the cinema I would have chosen something at the Film House. Confident children ran amok, shy ones lagged behind or clung to their mothers. Really, Imaginate. You should do better.
