Malcolm Middleton, Withered Hand and The Unwinding Hours among highlights of Tigerfest 2010

The concluding stretch of Tigerfest holds some gems, including a night dedicated to the 17 Seconds label – home to Aberfeldy member Chris Bradley, The Dirty Cuts and The Last Battle. Indie legend Martin Stephenson will be performing with local up-and-comers Fourteenhours and The Blind Assassins, while there are some special treats further afield: a Fence Records night featuring King Creosote and Withered Hand is followed up the night after by a Malcolm Middleton gig in Dunfermline, and former Aereogrammers The Unwinding Hours play Aberdeen with Katerwaul.

Various venues around Edinburgh, Dunfermline & Aberdeen, until Sat 22 May. See for more info.

TV21, Iain Shaw, Sam Barber & The Outcasts and Shock & Awe

The Unwinding Hours

The Unwinding Hours feature ex-Aereogramme members Craig B and Iain Cook in more reflective yet still powerful mode.

Ambulances, Vertis and Crayons

Three bands currently bubbling under on the Scottish indie rock scene appear on one bill. 'Part of Tigerfest'.

Fence Collective Night

Tigerfest presents a triple bill on Fife's own Fence Collective micro-label: label founder and folk-legend-in-the-making King Creosote, anthem-maker to the disillusioned Dan Willson, aka Withered Hand, and Bristol resident Rozi Plain. 'Part of Tigerfest'.

Detail, Jesus H Foxx and Battery Face

Pavement-esque indie from Jesus H Foxx.

Phoebe Kreutz, Casey, Emily Scott and The Stantons

Kooky, folky, poppy indie from New Yorker Kreutz. 'Part of Tigerfest'.

X-Lion Tamer, The Wildhouse and White Heath
