Mel B hints at X Factor
Former Spice Girl Mel B has hinted she could replace Dannii Minogue on 'The X Factor' judging panel when Dannii Minogue misses the auditions because of her maternity leave.
Mel B has hinted she is set to judge 'The X Factor'.
The former Spice Girls star has been strongly rumoured to be lined up for a guest sting on the panel alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole as Dannii Minogue will miss the auditions while on maternity leave, and though she refused to confirm the speculation, the outspoken singer promised an announcement "soon".
When asked about the rumours, she said: "I can't really talk about that because I don't think it's my place to, but I'm sure some announcement's going to happen at some point and then we'll all know!"
As well as a possible role on 'The X Factor', Mel is also busy fronting a new US TV show and working on her own fitness video game and is looking forward to being able to change the lives of people.
She explained to new! magazine: "I'm hosting a TV show called 'Dance Your Ass Off' in the US. It's like
'Dancing With The Stars' meets 'Big Brother'. People come on the show who want to make a difference with their lives and lose weight. A lot of them have health problems and my job is to encourage them to get fit.
"I also have my fitness programme on the Nintendo Wii coming out later this year. It's brilliant because it's the first time that, through technology, I can tell if a person is working the right parts of their body. And if they aren't, I can shout at them!"
Meanwhile, it has been reported that pop superstar Mariah Carey is being lined up to work with Simon when he takes his reality show over to America.
His friend and colleague Sinitta revealed: "It's amazing that so many people want to do the US 'X Factor'... it's huge.
"Everybody is up for it, Mariah... ok I'm not saying anymore!"
