Over The Rainbow's double eviction
Jessica Robinson and Jenny Douglas became the sixth and seventh contestants to leave BBC One's `Over The Rainbow' this weekend, in the programme's dramatic double elimination
Jessica Robinson and Jenny Douglas were eliminated from `Over The Rainbow' this weekend.
The two Dorothy hopefuls - both aged 18 - became the sixth and seventh contestants to be eliminated from the musical theatre show, with Jessica being voted off last night (09.05.10) following Jenny's departure on Saturday.
Jenny - who became the first person on the show to leave despite not having the lowest number of public votes - was warned her relationship with the dog Toto influenced the decision.
Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber said: "You were, let's face it, a bit at sea with Toto.
"It made me think, my goodness, in a great big theatre like the Palladium it all could go a bit wrong for you."
However, last night (09.05.10) Andrew was much more complementary of Jessica, who performed `Take That Look off Your Face' - despite choosing her to leave instead of Danielle Hope.
He said: "I say this with the heaviest heart in the entire world, Jessica you are so wonderful and quirky, you're a real star in the making."
Next week the remaining four contestants - consisting of Lauren Samuels, Sophie Evans, Steph Fearon and Danielle - will battle it out in the semi-finals of the BBC One musical theatre star search show.
