Kylie's musical aspiration
Kylie is working on a musical which will be based around her music, but will not tell the story of her life
Kylie is working on a musical.
The 'All The Lovers' singer is collaborating with her friend, fashion and theatre designer William Baker, on the project which will incorporate her songs - but not follow her life and career.
She said: "William Baker and I are working on getting the story written. I'm comfortable because it's not my life story; it's about the interpretation of my music."
William has previously been behind a revival of the musical 'Rent' in London in 2007 and served as creative director on Kylie's KYLIEX2008 tour.
Meanwhile the singer has given details about her forthcoming eleventh album 'Aphrodite' - on which she has collaborated with producers including Stuart Price and Calvin Harris, as well as working with the Scissor Sisters.
She added to Elle magazine: "I'd say it's 'emotional pop'. It makes me think about girls getting ready to go out, putting their make-up on. About driving. About sunshine.
"It has some ravey elements. I visualise a festival, a concert - that great rush of everyone being together."
Kylie also said she has "hit my stride, finally" with 'Aphrodite', which is released on July 5, preceded by 'All The Lovers' on June 28.
