Tigerfest

The three-week Scottish mini-festival returns for its seventh year, having featured Scottish heavyweights Idlewild, Frightened Rabbit and Danananananaykroyd in the past. The 2010 line up includes one-time Aereogramme members Iain Cook and Craig B’s new band, The Unwinding Hours, as well as former Arab Strap frontman Malcolm Middleton and the increasingly popular Edinburgh-based Withered Hand (pictured) taking to various stages in Aberdeen, Dunfermline and Edinburgh.

Various venues, Edinburgh, Dunfermline and Aberdeen, until Fri 21 May. See www.tigerfest.co.uk for more info.

Fence Collective Night

Tigerfest presents a triple bill on Fife's own Fence Collective micro-label: label founder and folk-legend-in-the-making King Creosote, anthem-maker to the disillusioned Dan Willson, aka Withered Hand, and Bristol resident Rozi Plain. 'Part of Tigerfest'.
