Simon Cowell out of auditions
Simon Cowell has confirmed he will not appear at next year's 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions and will join the show at the semi-final stage
Simon Cowell will not judge 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions next year.
The 50-year-old judge - who is currently setting up the US version of 'X Factor' for 2011 - will be too busy to take a seat on the panel alongside Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan but plans to return for the live shows.
He said: "I won't be doing the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions next year. I will join the show at the semi-final stage.
"I will eventually leave but nothing is decided yet. We launch US 'X Factor' next year too which is a huge challenge."
Simon also admitted his departure is not the only change he is considering for the next series of the show.
He told Reveal magazine: "People know I like to change the show and I do it to keep things fresh.
"But last year's panel of Piers and Amanda and, of course, Ant and Dec was great. So that's why I didn't change anything this year. But who knows what will happen next year?"
Discussing last year's runner up Susan Boyle, Simon confirms he has no regrets about putting her through the show - and would so again.
He said: "Obviously the star of the show last year was Susan Boyle and she has had her problems - but now she is genuinely a happier person when I speak to her.
"If I was asked to get her on the show now, knowing her problems. I would still say yes. Saying that, if we spot someone who is very fragile we won't out them through any further."
