Sheree Murphy's Hollyoaks dilemma
Sheree Murphy has admitted it was a ''difficult'' decision deciding whether to accept her role in 'Hollyoaks'
Sheree Murphy claims it was a "difficult" decision accepting her 'Hollyoaks' role.
The actress recently signed up to play Anita Roy (Saira Choudhry)'s long-lost mother Eva in the Channel 4 soap - her first major TV role for six years - but admits she was unsure of whether to accept the offer as it would mean spending more time away from her soccer star husband Harry Kewell, who is based in Turkey.
Speaking on daytime TV show 'This Morning', she said: "It is a long commute and it has been quite difficult. That's why when the phone call came up and I got the chance to appear on 'Hollyoaks', it was quite a difficult decision to make.
"Now that I have a job, I have to stay in England. But Harry's very supportive of what I do and he knew I wanted to go back to work. "
Sheree - who has children Taylor, nine, Ruby, seven, and two-year-old Matilda with Harry - recently revealed she is forcing her spouse to watch 'Hollyoaks' from Turkey.
She said: "My husband Harry lives in Turkey right now, so we've got this thing set up where he can see what we're watching on TV here via the internet. He's got no excuses not to tune in."
Sheree's first scenes in 'Hollyoaks' air tonight (24.04.10).
