Ben Shephard quits GMTV?

Ben Shephard has reportedly quit 'GMTV'.
The 35-year-old presenter - who has appeared on the breakfast show for five years - has apparently resigned just days before he would have been told whether or not he would keep his job during the ITV programme's make-over.
A source told the Mail Online: "Ben has resigned, but will stay with us until the end of the summer.
"Obviously, he felt it was untenable to stay and wait to see what was happening with his job. It was clear that he felt that he had to jump before he was pushed.
"Ben is still a face for ITV and I'm sure he will front other shows for them."
Ben and other male presenter Andrew Castle had been named as the 'GMTV' stars expected to get axed during Adrian Chiles' move from the BBC over to ITV - where he will front the morning show five days a week as well as hosting the network's football coverage.
Meanwhile, female presenter Kate Garraway - who is currently waiting to learn her fate alongside other host Emma Crosby - has been rushed to hospital with suspected appendicitis.
Kate was expected to cover Britain's political leaders debate on Sky News today (21.04.10), but has been forced to drop out while she receives medical treatment.
Instead, newsreader Helen Fospero - who is reportedly being considered for the spot on the 'GMTV' sofa alongside Adrian - has stepped in for Kate.
A source added: "Kate is still incredibly nervous about her job - she knows that nobody is safe at the moment."
