Lorraine Kelly's hours extended?
'GMTV' bosses are set to tell Lorraine Kelly she will have to host five live shows a week as they bid to shake up the ITV morning show, following the arrival of Adrian Chiles
Lorraine Kelly may be forced to do five live shows a week under the new shake-up on 'GMTV'.
The TV presenter currently hosts her segment of the show from the London studio on a Monday and Tuesday before flying back to Scottish home or Spanish villa and records her output for a Wednesday and Thursday.
But bosses are now keen for Lorraine - who earns a reported £350,000-a-year - to do five daily shows with a live studio audience.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "At present Lorraine is in the studio two days a week and after filming returns to her family in Scotland or her holiday home in Spain.
"Under the new format she won't be able to do that, she'll be needed for the whole week."
It is believed Lorraine - whose contract expires this year - may reconsider her position as she doesn't like to be away from her husband and daughter for too long.
A friend said: "Lorraine has always put her family first and it's hard to see how that will change. If bosses make the position too difficult for her to balance she's not afraid to look for something else."
Earlier this week, it was announced Adrian Chiles was joining 'GMTV' and Ben Shephard, Andrew Castle, Kate Garraway and Emma Crosby could all face the axe in another shake-up.
