Cindy Hutchinson's 'outrageous' departure
The new 'Hollyoaks' producer has announced there will be an ''outrageous'' storyline for Cindy Hutchinson later this year
'Hollyoaks' Cindy Cunningham will be involved in a dramatic storyline this summer.
New series producer Paul Marquess - who was brought onto the Channel 4 show earlier this year in a mission to turn around falling ratings - has revealed the storyline which will send actress Stephanie Waring off on maternity leave is the most spectacular he has worked on.
He said: "We've got some major plans for Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), especially as his wife, Cindy, will be heading off when the actress, Steph Waring, goes on maternity leave later on in the summer."
Stephanie - who plays the money-grabbing mother-of-one - was so shocked by the "outrageous" plotline it actually caused a physical reaction.
Paul added: "All I can say is that it's outrageous. When I told Steph, her jaw hit the floor - and then bounced back up again! It'll be amazing for the viewers who I am sure will love it."
The producer has been dubbed the 'axeman' since culling a number of the shows biggest stars since replacing Lucy Allen on the soap earlier this year.
