Chloe Hickinbottom wants Boyle fame
'Britain's Got Talent' contestant Chloe Hickinbottom, 10, has revealed she aspires to be as successful as last year's runner-up Susan Boyle or pop superstar Mariah Carey
'Britain's Got Talent' contestant Chloe Hickinbottom wants to be as big as Susan Boyle.
The 10-year-old singer - who wowed the judges with her rendition of Vera Lynn's 'White Cliffs of Dover' during the show on Saturday (17.04.10) - aspires to have a career like singing sensation Mariah Carey or Scottish singer Susan, who has become a worldwide success since she came second in the reality TV show last year.
Speaking backstage after her audition, Chloe said: "Now I've got through I can show off my voice more... I'd really like to be a professional singer like Mariah Carey or Susan Boyle."
The youngster auditioned in front of the judging panel earlier this year when regular judge Simon Cowell was off ill with the flu.
He was temporarily replaced by his 'X Factor' colleague Louis Walsh - who stepped in and joined former newspaper editor Piers Morgan and actress Amanda Holden on the panel.
Chloe was thrilled with the boy band manager's positive remarks and ran off the stage in tears as soon as the trio put her through to the next round.
She added: "Louis' comments were amazing. I just couldn't believe he said that I was the best act from today and when they were all standing up I felt just like crying.
"When I ran off the stage it felt like it was a dream... I didn't know what to do.
"I've never had lessons and I've never been in front of an audience that big, but I always used to practise in the bedroom. My dad didn't think it was me, he thought I was someone on TV!"
