Suzanne Shaw's 'fun' role
'Emmerdale' actress Suzanne Shaw is adamant her soap alter-ego is more ''fun'' than people may think and does not have a ''nasty'' side
Suzanne Shaw is adamant her 'Emmerdale' alter-ego Eve Jenson is not "nasty".
The blonde actress - who recently joined the ITV1 soap as the flirty character - believes her on screen persona is a lot more "fun" than people first think, even though she repeatedly takes advantage of her grandmother Edna Birch (Shirley Stelfox)'s kindness.
She said: "Eve's fun and flirty. Not nasty, but quite naughty and manipulative if she wants something. She knows she can wrap her little grandma Edna around her little finger."
Over the coming weeks, Suzanne's character's love life is set to get complicated as she has flings with Ryan Lamb (James Sutton) and John Barton (James Thornton).
Discussing ITV bosses plans to use Eve to 'spice up the show' she said: "I'm quite nervous actually! I'd never done an on screen kiss and had barely done one in the theatre either. It's a bit like 'Hello, nice to meet you. Time we were snogging!' I'm sure I'll get used to it though."
While she loves her time in the show, Suzanne hates being away from her husband, DJ Jason King and her five-year-old son Corey, from a previous relationship.
The 28-year-old actress added: "I'm supposed to be living a fairytale life at the moment but in reality it's far from perfect. I think accepting nothing's ever perfect is the best way to find happiness."
