Dani Rayner out of The Rainbow
Teenage singer Dani Rayner has been voted off 'Over The Rainbow' after landing herself in the bottom two alongside fellow contestant Danielle Hope.
Dani Rayner has been voted off 'Over The Rainbow'.
The 16-year-old brunette - who was the youngest finalist in the competition - lost out to fellow hopeful Danielle Hope after receiving the lowest public votes and judge Charlotte Church branding the youngster's voice as "nasal sometimes".
Dani, from Cheshire, said: "It's been a difficult night but I'm really pleased with the whole experience in general - I really enjoyed it.
"I have been living the dream for the past couple of months.
"It has to come to an end at some point but I have learnt so much and I hope I can use it in the future."
Charlotte praised the singer for "giving it everything" but warned to be careful with her vocals.
She added: "Your voice gets nasal sometimes so be careful, listen as the note is coming out. It's only occasionally, other than that it was great."
After performing her own rendition of Beyonce Knowles' 'One Night Only', Dani was praised by judge John Partridge, who told her it had been her "strongest performance" during her time on Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for the latest musical theatre star.
However, Sheila Hancock - the third member of the judging panel - admitted she didn't understand the meaning behind the song.
Dani is now considering returning to college to sit AS-level exams in English literature, politics, French and art next month.
She said: "I'm meant to be sitting my AS-levels in May but I have missed quite a lot of school.
"It's definitely an option to go back and get them done. I had taken all my books to London so I think I might sit them or see what's around the corner."
