Sheree Murphy's 'user' character
'Hollyoaks' actress Sheree Murphy has revealed she thinks her alter-ego Eva uses local resident Ravi Roy to get close to her secret daughter, his adopted sister Anita
Sheree Murphy thinks her 'Hollyoaks' alter-ego "uses" Ravi Roy to get close to her secret daughter Anita Roy.
The actress - who portrays Anita (Saira Choudhry)'s long-lost mother Eva - has admitted her screen persona lies to residents in the village, including her daughter's older brother, played by Stephen Uppal, in a bid to reunite with the teenager.
She said: "Ravi asks her out and she decides to use him to get close to Anita. But Eva makes up a name - Kate - as she's still deciding whether to tell Anita who she really it.
"Eva thinks Ravi's sweet but she's not thinking beyond Anita. However, I keep hearing rumours they're going to have an affair."
Despite searching for Anita - who she gave up when she was just 16 - Eva is unsure what sort of relationship she wants with the student.
She said: "She likes the idea of her and Anita starting afresh, going shopping and doing fun things. But I'm not sure she'll be able to cope with all the emotional issues that come with finding a daughter she gave away as a teenager."
