Louis Walsh has signed a new 'X Factor' contract worth £1.6 million.
The Irish pop manager is thrilled with the deal - worth more than double the £700,000 he was paid to judge the show in 2008 - after close pal Simon Cowell pledged to reward him for his work on the programme.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Louis is thrilled to be back on board. Simon was always keen to have Louis back.
"He plans to make the show bigger and better than ever before, and he likes to reward his fellow judges for being loyal to him."
Louis is so happy with his new contract, he has pledged not to complain if he is asked to mentor the groups again, which he has done for four out of six series.
He said: "I don't mind if I get the group category again for the third year running. Jedward and JLS have been the most successful acts."
Meanwhile, Dannii Minogue - who is six months pregnant with her first child - will also return to the programme after agreeing a £700,000 deal to join the judging panel at the semi-final stage.
Dannii is due to give birth in July, while live auditions are underway, but reassured producers at a meeting yesterday (14.04.10) that she is committed to coming back for the Judges' Houses stage, where each mentor picks their three finalists from the six acts left in their category.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "After the last series finished there was a lot of confusion as to whether Dannii would stay or not.
"However it became clear just how popular she was.
"The talks went really well and Dannii is set to start after the birth of her baby and when the live shows begin in September.
"Dannii is delighted. She has a baby on the way, a loving boyfriend and now a new TV deal."
A series of guest judges are expected to join the panel during the audition stages to cover for Dannii, who is taking a £300,000 pay cut.
Fourth judge Cheryl Cole is expected to agree terms of her new contract in the coming weeks.
