Paula Adbul in Idol talks?
'American Idol' bosses are reportedly in talks with Paula Abdul to bring her back to the show
Paula Abdul is reportedly in talks to return to 'American Idol'.
Bosses on the US reality TV show are apparently desperate to see the pop star and her "wacky antics" come back to the programme when music mogul Simon Cowell leaves at the end of this series.
Despite asking her to consider coming back, show executives are apparently uncertain whether to place her back on the judging panel or not.
An insider told In Touch: "They want Paula back.
"They're not sure if she'd be the fifth judge, but they are talking to her. People tuned in to see Paula's wacky antics and her chemistry with Simon. The show is just not as much fun to watch without her."
Paula appeared alongside Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell on the judging panel from the first series in 2002 until 2009 - when she was replaced by songwriter Kara DioGuardi.
This year's series has seen chat show host Ellen DeGeneres join the show as a fifth judge.
However, Simon is due to leave when the programme ends later this year to launch his US version of 'The X Factor'.
