Shia LaBeouf is set to run the Los Angeles Marathon.
The 'Transformers' actor will undertake the gruelling 26.2 mile race on March 21 as he aims to raise money for America's largest non-profit organisation US VETS.
The charity - which provides services to war veterans of all ages returning from Iraq and Afghanistan - is close to the star's heart as his father Jeffrey fought in Vietnam and his paternal grandfather was a Green Beret.
US VETS President and CEO Dwight Radcliff said of the news: "We are delighted and grateful to have Mr. LaBeouf participate in the marathon on our behalf."
Shia is not the first celebrity to endure a marathon.
In 2007, Katie Holmes took part in the New York Marathon, where she was cheered on by husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri.
Last year, glamour model Katie Price and her then-husband Peter Andre completed the London event, which TV chef Gordon Ramsay is a regular competitor in.
