AC/DC, Them Crooked Vultures, Motörhead and Megadeth set for Download 2010

Metal festival Download is celebrating 30 years of rock at Donnington (the first ever Monsters of Rock took place on the site in 1980) in style with a massive coup as AC/DC are announced as their first headliner for 2010. The Aussie rock legends are no strangers to the hallowed grounds of Castle Donnington having headlined the original MoR back in 1981, 1984 and 1991. Joining Acca Dacca on the bill are Them Crooked Vultures, Motörhead, Megadeth, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Wolfmother and Volbeat.

With two more headliners and over 100 bands still to be announced it’s already looking like another fantastic year at Download. Tickets on sale now.

Download, Donnington Park, Derby, 11—13 Jun, www.downloadfestival.co.uk
