The most fabulous events this fortnight

Alan Cumming Not content with producing a cologne and having the brass neck to call it Cumming the Fragrance, the actor and X-Men star returns to Glasgow to talk about his career (which began in a Tron production of Macbeth) as part of the theatre’s 25th birthday celebrations. Tron Theatre, Glasgow, Sun 15 Oct.

Echo Park, LA Gay Latino kitchen sink drama, inspired by the 1961 film A Taste of Honey. A teenager falls pregnant in the run-up to her 15th birthday and is forced to live with her sexually confused street kid cousin, her great-great uncle and his partner. Filmhouse, Edinburgh, Thu 5-Thu 12 Oct.

Lost in the Forest Young gay artist Gregor Laird mixes music, fashion and design to produce provocative, playful canvases. It’s his first professional exhibition since graduating, and promises plenty of surface and scant regard for subtlety in his stylised fairytales. Brunswick Hotel, Glasgow, until Sun 29 Oct.

Queens (Reinas) A mass gay wedding is the setting for this bittersweet Spanish comedy, where mothers, husbands and lovers vie for attention with the betrothed gentlemen. Featuring a selection of Pedro Almódovar’s favourite actresses, it’s glossy and feel-good. GFT, Glasgow, Sun 15 & Tue 17 Oct.

Taste Going back to its roots is Taste, which returns to Cabaret Voltaire after a stint at the Liquid Room. Sunday is meant to be a day of rest, but Fisher, Price and backroom boy Martin Valentine cock a snoop at this notion every week. Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh, Sun 8 & Sun 15 Oct.
