Somewhere in the midst of their epic ‘Pandemonium’ world tour, the Pet Shop Boys managed to put together two EPs – ‘Beautiful People’ (not out here yet) and the brand new, ‘Christmas’. As well as allowing Neil Tennant time off to collaborate with The Killers and Elton John on Mexican-themed Christmas single ‘Happy Birthday, Guadelupe!’ They also racked up their tenth American number one, and – more obscurely – released a compilation of their songs featured in South American soap operas. Busy boys, then, but we’re sure they’ll save something special for the SECC.
