New York Dolls

Only two original members survived to make this line-up, but who cares? They still count as glam punk royalty. Formed in New York over three decades ago, these guys were at the apex of a musical movement that crossed The Stooges with T-Rex. Since their reformation in 2004, their new albums, including this year’s Cause I Sez So, have been very well received, so, you know, this is a reunion act that doesn’t just trade on past glories. Grab your mascara, smear lippy around your mouth and dig out the platforms – it’s time to play with the Dolls.

HMV Picture House, Edinburgh, Thu 10 Dec.

New York Dolls

Over-14s show. The original trash rocking punk trailblazers are back, back, back. Well, the surviving two - David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain - are.
