Hailing from Tel Aviv and painting themselves as ‘The People’s Band’, Monotonix hit Sleazy’s in their recruitment drive for your soul. The hairier, sweatier and smellier you are, the better (their words, not ours), and if you fancy adding ‘bruised but smiling’ to that list, get right down the front for a first-hand experience of their notoriously frenetic live show. A quick note on names – Moshe Vegas is on guitar, Bonanza the Cat on drums, and Levi ‘Ha Haziz’ (Yomtov) Elvis is the one screaming at you. Enjoy, and remember that wearing more than two items of clothing (including each sock) counts as being overdressed.
