Katie Price refused to name attacker
Glamour model Katie Price was ''mortified'' when police telephoned to investigate her rape allegations yesterday (17.09.09), and reportedly refused to name the ''famous celebrity'' who attacked her.
Katie Price reportedly refused to tell police who raped her.
The glamour model - who claims she was sexually assaulted by a "famous celebrity" in London's West End several years ago - was "mortified" when detectives contacted her yesterday (17.09.09).
She allegedly told them she would not discuss the attack because the matter "was closed".
The 31-year-old beauty - known as Jordan - is quoted as saying: "I'm not going to say anything. What's past is past and I just want to forget about it the best I can.
"This whole thing has been a nightmare and I wish I never said anything in the first place."
But police are legally obliged to investigate Katie's claims, and are expected to visit her Surrey mansion to quiz her further.
A source said: "They still intend to conduct a full interview with her. Their position has not changed. Rape is a serious crime and it is their duty to investigate it."
Katie is said to be planning to "snub" detectives if they come to her house.
A police spokeswoman confirmed Katie had been contacted, but had not been spoken to "in depth".
She added: "No report of rape has been made. Officers have spoken to her. Officers will be following lines of inquiry into this offence."
