Cabaret Voltaire’s Alternative Freshers Week

So you’re a new student in the fair town of Edinburgh and not quite sure what club nights are worth going to. Well fear not young fresher, Cabaret Voltaire has assembled all their best nights for a full week of house, drum & bass, indie, electro and more featuring Sugarbeat (with guests Foamo and Shit Robot), Killer Kitsch (with Kris Menace), Trade Union (with Atomic Hooligan), Tokyoblu (with a DJ set from Friendly Fires), We Are Electric... and more besides.

John Hutchison and Iain Gibson dish out the best in Chicago house, funky electro and disco. Fri 23 Sep: A massive 9th birthday party with the Tokyoblu DJs, Gabriel Kemp (Animal Hospital), Niall & Dennis McKervey, Little Grooves (We Play House), Sounds of Soul (Ladies on Rotation), Soul Jam Hot, Brian & Lee…

Drum & bass, electro, techno and breakbeat with Shadowskill, the Dropout DJs, Dogma and a smattering of very talented local guests. Now at the Bongo.

It's a mash up of breaks, beats, electro and anything else they can lay their hands from your hosts Tim & Jez (Utah Saints).

Cab's brand-new regular Monday night club, featuring dubstep, drum & bass, techno, and minimal house, spun by the Bare DJs plus Beefy and Wolfjazz of the late Trade Union.

We Are … Electric

Part two of the Gary Mac's punk-funk party's fifth birthday celebrations with a full resident roster in full effect with Default, Picasio, WolfJazz, Beany, Kev Wright, Jacek, Tall Paul and more taking over all three rooms (inc the Speakeasy) at the Cab.

Killer Kitsch

Killer Kitsch returns to Edinburgh as Euan Neilson and David Sinclair import their mix of dance, electro, 80s synth pop, new wave and punk to the Cab.

Sick Note Saturday

The indie/electro night hosts another of its monthly Saturday night specials.
